The Weird Loneliness of 'Not Being In The Mum Club'

Episode 222 can be streamed on Spotify here and Apple podcasts here

This episode is for anyone who isn’t a mum. Whether that’s by choice, circumstance, or simply because life hasn’t taken you there (yet, or ever), you’ll enjoy this. I dive into a viral TikTok I posted that lit up the internet - because it was REAL and it touched a nerve of how Friday nights are no longer fun Friday nights with our friends.. Today, I chat through what it feels like  when your friendship group suddenly shifts into a world of sleep schedules, diaper bags, nap times, school drop-offs, and first birthday parties… and you’re left wondering if you still belong? (Spoiler: you do.)

This isn’t a rant. It’s not anti-motherhood. And it’s definitely not bitter. It’s an honest conversation about connection, grief, comparison, and the invisible ache of growing apart from friends who are on a different path. I share my own experience as a 36-year-old non-mum, what I’ve learned from others in the same position, and how to navigate this season with grace - while keeping the friendships that matter most alive. If you’ve ever felt the weird loneliness of not being in the Mum Club, you are not alone. This one's for you and I LOVE YOU.
