How to Be More Chill in Conflict

Episode 202 can be streamed on Spotify here and Apple podcasts here and on YouTube below:

Guys, I’ve had to have a lot of stressful conversations lately — with my landlady, with my partner, with my first ever employee, and with my best friend (because I forgot her birthday — I know, I still haven’t forgiven myself). The old me would have spiraled. I’d get hot, reactive, defensive — either shouting or crying, desperate to prove my point. All logic and rationality? Gone.

But since starting my healing journey — learning to regulate my nervous system and understand the biology behind our emotional responses — everything has started to shift. Things feel calmer. I feel calmer.

In today’s episode, I walk you through the psychology of conflict: why we avoid it, why it feels so stressful, and how to handle it like a chill girl™. I also share some of my top tips for staying regulated and grounded when you’re about to have that uncomfortable conversation.

Plus, I talk about how using my WHOOP has helped me tune into my body, track my stress levels, and know when it’s the right time to face the cortisol and adrenaline spike that comes with difficult conversations — and when it’s better to wait.
